Commands within the military such as the Air Education and Training Command (AETC) and Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) are comprised of tens of thousands of personnel across multiple installations and tenant units across the country. Rapidly alerting all personnel across an entire Command wherever they are located is critical. Air Force policy requires all Major Commands to establish and maintain an emergency notification system for Full-Spectrum Threat Response (FSTR) readiness for all personnel, as noted in AFI 10-2501, as well as personnel accountability to be achieved via notification, response-tracking and reporting (AFI 10-218). Helping HQ commanders achieve these objectives in times of crisis is no easy task. Additionally, with IT consolidation being adopted by Commands, an effective solution to emergency notification on an enterprise scale is required.

| Solution |
| AtHoc’s approach to a Command-wide emergency notification system is to employ a centralized enterprise solution that is used to serve the needs of the entire Command as well as each of the underlying installations and bases. With IWSAlerts, each command post controller can trigger alerts to their local personnel, whilst at the HQ level alerts can be sent out to all personnel across the entire Command. This centralized approach provides benefits to the Command in the form of faster emergency response times, improved consistency across the numerous locations and increased visibility for commanders into personnel accountability. |
