AtHoc will Highlight Its Extensive Work Helping Air Force Bases Achieve Full Spectrum Threat Response Compliance and Operational Readiness

BURLINGAME, Ca. (August 08, 2006) - AtHoc, Inc. today announced the company will be exhibiting within the Microsoft booth at the 2006 Air Force Information Technology Conference (AFITC) in Montgomery, Alabama. This year's event will take place on August 13-17.

For the last 19 years, AFITC has offered DoD employees the opportunity to participate in a dialog between IT vendors and fellow attendees in order to better understand the Air Force's direction for information technology, to stay current on the latest technologies and to learn future industry offerings and advances.

AtHoc and Microsoft have worked closely together to help numerous Air Force bases improve operational readiness by installing AtHoc IWSAlerts, the company's net-centric emergency alerting platform. AtHoc will be exhibiting in Microsoft's booth (Booth 323) where the companies will highlight their work performed for Air Force Major Commands such as the Air Education and Training Command (AETC) where AtHoc was named the network alerting standard.

AtHoc IWSAlerts provides bases with the ability to send alerts to a computer screen, cell phone or personal digital assistant (PDA) whenever a threat is identified. Threats can range from terror warnings to an approaching tornado. The alerts, in the form of pop-up windows, describe the potential threat, categorize the threat level and include instructions for action. An audio alert also automatically sounds over the computer's speakers. AtHoc IWSAlerts can guarantee connected users will see and hear the alerts within an average of one minute after the alert is sent.

"AFITC continues to be the must-attend event in the Air Force," said Ly Tran, vice president of business development at AtHoc. "This event allows us to connect with people at the numerous bases who are still figuring out how to comply with the network-centric alerting requirements outlined in the Air Force Instruction outlining Full Spectrum Threat Response (FSTR) regulations. We've already helped numerous bases in the Air Force reach compliance, and we hope to meet other bases and Commands at AFITC in the evaluation and technology selection process."
