AtHoc Named Top Finalist for 2010 Microsoft Partner Innovation Award

ISV/Software Solutions Innovation Partner of the Year Category Recognizes AtHoc’s For Providing Government and Private Sector with Innovative Enterprise-Class Network-Centric Emergency Notification Software

SAN MATEO, Calif (August 5, 2010) – Athoc, Inc., the pioneer and leader in network-centric emergency mass notification systems, was named a finalist for the Microsoft Partner Awards in the ISV/Software Solutions Innovation Partner of the Year award category. AtHoc is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, elite Managed Partner Program member and a solution partner of the Microsoft Public Safety and National Security group.

AtHoc’s innovation centers on the use of IP technology for mass notification and emergency alerting, a capability that traditionally was handled using outdoor sirens and indoor public announcement (PA) systems. The use of IP technology for mass alerting enables reaching personnel wherever they are, on a LAN, WAN or mobile network, using mass bi-directional communication. AtHoc’s development team works closely with Microsoft and the development community to promote innovation and to meet government and private sector requirements for enterprise-class emergency notification software.

“AtHoc easily integrates with various technologies to increase development and meet stringent demands of the military, government and private sector for emergency alerting,” said Ly Tran, vice president of AtHoc. “The U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army and U.S. Coast Guard are among the many agencies and customers using AtHoc’s IWSAlerts™ emergency mass notification systems built on Microsoft technology stack.”

Microsoft award finalists were selected from a pool of almost 3,000 entrants worldwide. The Independent Software Vendor (ISV)/Software Solutions Innovation Partner of the Year Award recognizes ISVs which have developed an innovative, disruptive approach to solving a new or existing business or consumer need based on the latest Microsoft server or client technologies.
