Position
As a key member of the engineering team, our Senior Database Developer will be involved with full life cycle development of the AtHoc Enterprise Notifications System on the latest .NET platform with a focus on the Database tier.

Responsibilities
- Participation in all phases of project life cycle: analysis, design, develop, test, debug, deploy, maintain and update
- Design, implement and maintain database schema across multiple versions
- Create complex SQL statements, stored procedures for software development
- Performance database tuning and monitoring
- Design maintenance plan
- Develop data migration scripts
- Be an expert of business and data flows of AtHoc Systems
- Create and maintain database technical documents
- Work with AtHoc professional services to support customer implementations and troubleshoot issues
- Be up-to-date with new technologies and architectures, for potential implementation within AtHoc platforms
- Work with product development team members, as well as company leadership and customers
Requirements
- 5+ solid database development experience with MS SQL Server in delivering low defect multi-tier applications
- Database design and development skills with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL
- Solid understanding of the current principles and techniques used in relational database modeling, design, replication, propagation, tuning, backup and recovery.
- Familiar with MS SQL Server 2005/2008, version control, issue tracking, continuous integration environment
- Be able to communicate openly and frequently with all members of the team
- Must be a self-motivated fast learner and able to work independently
- Ability to multi-task and exercise judgment in setting priorities
- Strong project planning and organizational abilities
- Excellent trouble-shooting skill
- Experience with following items would be a plus:
- Object oriented design and development skills
- Software using object oriented programming with Visual Basic or C# in a Microsoft Visual Studio environment
Education
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent
- Microsoft certification a plus
