Position
As AtHoc is going through a significant growth phase, we seek a Director, Product Management and Marketing who will drive product direction and align product strategy, planning and execution with AtHoc’s corporate business strategy. Reporting to the CTO, our executive will play a key role in the future growth of the business.
Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for driving product strategy and executing on all inbound product management and outbound product marketing activities
- Oversee the definition of product requirements based on customer needs, competitive offerings, advisory boards and technology trends
- Drive segmentation of market and product segments
- Work closely with engineering to ensure timely delivery of product deliverables and releases
- Identify, establish business relationships, and work with key technology/OEM/product partners, channels and customers
- Formalize, manage, own and evolve AtHoc model for product lifecycle process consisting of:
- Market Focus Plans (MFP)
- Partner Development Plans (PDP)
- Customer Focus Plans (CFP)
- Work closely with Customer Success team to develop and facilitate customer advocacy function
- Pitch and present products to all constituencies and continuously ensure communication of product strategy
- Develop and communicate differentiated value propositions and messaging for AtHoc’s platform and applications
- Develop Product Advisory Boards made up of partners, customers and channels
Requirements
- Deep hands-on experience in developing complex enterprise software platforms with multiple product lines and vertical markets from scratch
- 8+ years of increasingly responsible roles in Product Management in a start-up environment, including team management
- Working experience with user interaction/experience and working with UI/UX experts
- Deep domain experience with the public safety market and emergency management market, in particular mass notification, physical security, e911 and/or Computer Aided Dispatch systems (CAD)
- A technical background with a strong focus on building processes
- Experience working/interacting with government/public sector customer base
- Familiarity with multiple software development methodologies (e.g. waterfall, agile, incremental, spiral)
- Familiarity with software as a service
- A keen eye for the precise details of building great software products
Education
- MBA or equivalent experience
- Engineering / technology background is strongly weighted
