David Strohm – Partner, Greylock

Chairman of the Board since 2000 after Greylock completed its lead investment in AtHoc.

Dave joined Greylock in 1980 and opened their Palo Alto office in 1983. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the Harvard Business School.

Beyond AtHoc, Dave is currently a Board Member and Lead Director at EMC Corporation (EMC), Chairman of the Board at CoWare, Chairman of the Board at SuccessFactors, and a Board member at VMware and several other private companies.

Dave also led Greylock's historic involvement with companies such as Decru - the storage security company (acquired by Network Appliances), Forte Software (acquired by Sun Microsystems), Kiva Software (acquired by Netscape), Mentor Graphics (MENT), Net Effect Systems (acquired by Ask Jeeves), Octane (now part of E.piphany) and Legato Systems (acquired by EMC).


Admiral Thomas B. Fargo, USN (Ret.)

Retired U.S. Navy Admiral Thomas B. Fargo served on AtHoc Advisory Board since 2007 and joined AtHoc's Board of Directors in 2009.

Admiral Fargo was the twentieth officer to hold the position of Commander of the U.S. Pacific Command. As the senior U.S. commander in East Asia, the Pacific and Indian Ocean areas, Admiral Fargo led the largest unified command while directing the joint operations of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force across 100 million square miles. He was responsible to the President and the Secretary of Defense, and was the U.S. military representative for collective defense arrangements in the Pacific. His 35 years of service included six tours in Washington, DC, in addition to five commands in the Pacific, Indian Ocean, and Middle East.

Admiral Fargo is president and chief executive officer of Hawaii Superferry as part of his duties as managing director of J.F. Lehman & Company. In addition, he serves on the board of directors for Northrop Grumman, Hawaiian Electric Industries, Hawaiian Airlines and USAA. He also serves on the board of directors of the Japan-America Society of Hawaii, the I'olani School Board of Governors, and the Hawaii Pacific University Board of Trustees. Fargo is the national vice chairman of the Pearl Harbor Memorial Fund. He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy.


Robert M. Halperin

Robert Halperin has been a Board of Directors member of AtHoc since the company’s inception in 1999.

Bob was Vice Chairman of Raychem Corporation, a materials science company, from 1990 to 1994, and previous to that served as its President. He spent 37 years at Raychem.

Bob has been an advisor to Greylock Management, a venture capital firm, since 1990. He is currently a member of the board of Vitria Technology Inc. (NASDAQ: VITR), a leading provider of eBusiness infrastructure software, Avid Technology Inc. (NASDAQ: AVID) as well as several private companies.

Bob serves on the Board of Directors of the Associates of Harvard Business School, the Harvard Business School Publishing Co., Stanford Health Services, and is also a Life Trustee of the University of Chicago. Bob holds a Ph.D. in Liberal Arts from the University of Chicago, a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA. from Harvard Business School.


Guy Miasnik – President & CEO

Guy Miasnik has over 18 years of experience in the IT sector with specific expertise in C4I – Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence – solutions and technologies. He has managed programs and R&D efforts in these fields on behalf of clients and government organizations, both as a Captain in the military and senior executive of technology companies. Prior to AtHoc, Guy founded Kinetica Ltd., a high-end engineering and technology integration firm specializing in internet and communications solutions. Guy served as CEO and orchestrated Kinetica's growth from start-up to profitability in less than two years. His tenure at Kinetica culminated in a strategic acquisition by NetVision, a subsidiary of Elron Industries (NASDAQ: ELRN). Guy graduated from Harvard University (MBA) and the Technion (BS Electrical Engineering summa cum laude). He is an active member in the Pacific Council on International Policy, the West-coast affiliate of the Council on Foreign Relations.


Ly Tran – Vice President of Sales and Corporate Development

Ly Tran holds responsibility for creating new business opportunities and market penetration strategies for AtHoc. In that capacity, Ly develops and manages relationships with system integrators, product partners and resellers. Prior to AtHoc, Ly worked in global mergers and acquisitions for Chase Manhattan Bank and in emerging markets private equity for Citicorp and the Vietnam Fund Ltd., where he led investment initiatives in Asia Commercial Bank, Vietnam's largest private bank, and in the Ana Mandara, Vietnam’s leading resort – featured in Forbes (2004) and Architectural Digest (2001). Ly graduated from Harvard University (MBA) and Princeton University (BA History).
