Lynda M. Applegate

Lynda is the MBA Class of 1952 Distinguished Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School, teaching courses in information age management, entrepreneurial management, and managerial economics. Prior to joining the HBS faculty, she was on the faculties of the University of Michigan, University of Washington and University of Arizona, and held various management positions in the health services industry.

Thomas Jones

Tom has over 20 years of experience in leading both publicly listed and privately funded enterprise software and applications companies. Most recently, Tom was CEO of Levanta, Inc, a leader in on-demand Linux management and data virtualization. Before Levanta, Tom was President & CEO of Velosel Corporation, Senior Vice President of North American Sales at PeopleSoft and President of MDL Information Systems, Inc. (MDL). Tom has served on the Board of Directors of MDL, Nexprise, Ventro, Crosslogix and OnQ Technologies. He is currently on the Board of Directors of RivalWatch. He also serves on the national board of directors for the Marine Toys For Tots Foundation and the Advisory Board for Duke University School of Nursing.

Tom spent 6 years in the U.S. Marine Corps attaining the rank of Captain, USMC. Tom holds a BS in Analytical Management from the United States Naval Academy and a MS in Systems Management from the University of Southern California.

Shlomo Kalish

Dr. Shlomo Kalish, founding partner of Jerusalem Global Ventures, is one of Israel's leading technology investors. Established in December 1999, Jerusalem Global Ventures manages $200M with investments focused in early stage Israeli-related companies. In the late 1990s, Kalish served as a General Partner of Concord (K.T.) Ventures I, LP, and in 1993 founded Jerusalem Global Investment Bank. Shlomo holds advanced degrees from MIT and is active on the board of many non-profit and educational organizations. In 1999, Shlomo was named the fourth most influential person in the Israeli economy.

Wayne D. Moore

Wayne is a licensed professional fire protection engineer and a Principal with the fire protection engineering and code-consulting firm, Hughes Associates, Inc. and is located in the company’s Warwick, Rhode Island office. He is a member and past Chairman of the National Fire Alarm Code Technical Correlating Committee, is Chairman of the NFPA Research Foundation’s Fire Detection and Alarm Research Council, is a past-President of the SFPE and has served as a member of the NFPA Standards Council. He also was a member and past Chairman of the NICET Board of Governors. He is a past member of the National Electrical Code, Panel 20 (Article 708) and a current member of the NFPA Protection of Cultural Resources Technical Committee (NFPA 909/914), and Uniform Fire Code, NFPA 1, Chairman of the National Fire Alarm Code (NFPA 72-2010) Emergency Communications Systems Technical Committee and Chairman of NFPA 730/731 Premises Security Technical Committee.

Brigadier General Daniel J. Keefe, US Army (Ret.)

General Keefe’s Army career included combat tours in the Balkans and Iraq; non-combatant evacuations and humanitarian assignments in Africa; and command positions within the U.S. and overseas. As commanding general, he was responsible for all U.S. operations in a declared hostile fire zone with direct management and command responsibility for 8,000 personnel that included forces from Russia, Greece, Ukraine and Poland. He also served as the Corps Chief of Staff and Strategic Plans Director in Iraq.

Major General George W. Norwood, USAF (Ret.)

General Norwood was a tactical fighter pilot and Air Force officer, planner and leader, serving in posts throughout Europe and Asia. He served as Deputy Chief of Staff for the United Nations Command and United States Forces in Korea. In this role, General Norwood was responsible for the critical general officer level negotiations with the North Korean military. He was also Commander of the 35th Fighter Wing at Misawa Air Base in Japan where he was the senior US Military Member in Northern Japan.

Since retiring from the Air Force, General Norwood has served in a variety of civilian roles. He was the executive vice president of the Air Force Association in Florida, and is on the Board of Directors for the Airborne Tactical Advantage Company (ATAC), for Scalable Network Technologies, and for WidePoint Corporation. In addition he is President and CEO of Norwood & Associates, Inc.

William A. Sahlman

Bill is the Dimitri V. d’Arbeloff – Class of 1955 Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School, focusing on entrepreneurial finance. For seven years, he served as Chairman of the Board of Harvard Business School Publishing Company, which is responsible for all external publishing activities, including the Harvard Business Review, case studies, Management Productions, HBS Press, and interactive media. He is a member of the Board of Directors of several private companies.
